Gold Hall Cafe

4-7-16

Successful trip to the airport to pick up Bau and Papa and made it up to the kids' school before they got out! They were so excited to see them at pick up. Makayla loved introducing them to her teacher and telling her all about the fun we were going to have on her spring break.

Let the fun begin!
After we stopped home and let our visitors unpack and rest…for about a minute lol we walked across the street to the little café for some lunch. This is actually the first time we have been to this café and it did not disappoint. There were so many  choices of curry and some delicious naan bread. This café is right on the water so after we were finished we walked the sea wall.

Walked to Lawsons on the way back for some ice cream to cool down a bit.

For dinner we tried the famous Italian restaurant called Marino’s.
After I answered her questions that she had the choice of pasta or pizza

She was very happy with her choice

You don't always find lettuce on your pizza, but you will always find corn lol

We decided to explore the town right next to us-Kin Town and I am so glad we did. We found a hidden gem. Tucked away in a residential area is a restaurant/cave/bonsai garden called Gold Hall Café.
Upon entering you pay an entrance fee and are handed a map. The map has 13 numbers on it and you are pointed to a sign showing the way to stop number one. Following the signs you take a few stair ways down and down farther where it puts you into a limestone cave. Continuing the signs you end up back outside on different terraces along the side of a hill, you are then climbing back up the hill where the map leads to back to the café.

When you are in the café you have your choice of where you would like to sit. It usually isn’t very hard. You just pick a table that has the right amount of chairs. Well this isn’t your normal seating. Each table is a piece of art, a table made out of beach wood, carved wood art, tree stumps, and even a glass table which is covering huge crystals.

The menu is very simple, either tacos or taco rice. Hands down the BEST taco rice I have had on island! I wish I asked If you can just enter to eat at the café without having to pay the entrance fee for the tour. It would definitely be my go to lunch stop.

Ready to see what we find following the map...

Habu Sake

Bonsai Garden- I never knew there were so many different types of bonsai trees!

The cave
looks like you could have a real fun party with this built in bar located inside the cave
